INDEPENDENT ADVICE. PRACTICAL EXECUTION.
Understand what you have. Decide what needs to change. Move forward with a plan your organization can put to work.
Windrosa provides technology assessments, modernization planning, and hands-on technical leadership for organizations facing important decisions or complex change.
A CLEAR STARTING POINT
An inherited environment. An uncertain investment. A migration that needs an owner.
Start with the decision or problem in front of you. We’ll define a useful scope from there.
ASSESSMENT / PLANNING / DELIVERY
HOW WINDROSA CAN HELP
Each engagement starts with an agreed scope, deliverables, and responsibilities.
Get a clear picture of your systems, dependencies, and priorities before committing to a change.
A useful fit when: you’ve inherited an undocumented environment, face recurring reliability issues, or need an independent review of a proposed investment.
Infrastructure, networks, identity and access, backup and recovery, vendor dependencies, and the way technology supports everyday work.
A current-state summary, documented findings, and a prioritized set of recommended actions with dependencies and next steps.
Discuss an assessment ↗Turn competing technical needs into a phased plan tied to your organization’s goals and capacity.
A useful fit when: you’re replacing aging systems, integrating a new site, comparing vendors, or planning growth with limited staff and budget.
Architecture options, requirements, trade-offs, migration dependencies, business continuity, and the resources needed to carry out the work.
A recommended direction, an options comparison, and a sequenced roadmap with planning estimates, milestones, and decision points.
Discuss a roadmap ↗Give an important technology initiative experienced direction and practical support from planning through handover.
A useful fit when: your team needs additional senior capacity, a migration needs coordination, or a project crosses several vendors and technical disciplines.
Project scoping, technical design review, vendor coordination, implementation within the agreed scope, and operational documentation.
An execution plan, clear ownership and progress reporting, and a documented handover for the systems or processes delivered.
Discuss project support ↗Security, resilience, and maintainability are considered throughout the work. Specialized requirements are addressed explicitly in the engagement scope.
WORKING TOGETHER
Discuss what is happening, what a better outcome looks like, and which constraints matter.
Set the scope, deliverables, access requirements, responsibilities, schedule, and fees before work begins.
Make findings and decisions understandable. Leave documentation and next steps your team can use.
ABOUT WINDROSA
Windrosa is led by Aaron M. Smith, a technology leader with a 20-year U.S. Navy career and civilian experience in IT management, infrastructure modernization, and cybersecurity.
His work has included rebuilding enterprise environments, connecting multiple sites, improving backup and recovery, and developing the documentation and practices that make systems supportable.
That experience informs a practical approach: understand the operational need, examine the technical details, and make recommendations that account for people, resources, and long-term upkeep.
LET’S TALK ABOUT THE WORK
Tell Aaron a little about your organization, what needs to change, and any timing or operational constraints.
